February 22, 1978 - September 25, 2013

Beloved daughter of George and Ann Kennedy, Julie is also survived by siblings Steven (Dawn), Stacey (Pete) Neumann and Tricia Ricca, her treasured nephews Jacob, Alan, George, Bradley, Brandon, Perry and Brady and a host of other family members and friends. She is now with her grandparents and nephew Jackson. As an educator, Julie shaped many lives both young and old. She was a bright light on the earth and will be truly missed. An open house will be Wed. Oct. 2 at 2:00 pm. Her celebration of life will be begin at 3:00pm with reception to follow, all at The Chateaux at Fox Meadows 13600 Xavier Ln.

The Doreen Katz Memorial Cancer Foundation was established to look after children whose parents are battling cancer by making sure that they have access to the best possible education. In today’s world, school districts are being forced to charge additional fees for items such as Advanced Placement Classes, Art Classes, Playing Sports after school, and many other fees that were once part of a regular education. Children of cancer patients are missing out on these opportunities due to the high cost of cancer treatments and prescriptions, but the Foundation is there to make sure that Cancer doesn’t cancel futures. All proceeds are used to provide grants to families to make sure the children can get the best education possible.
