As a young woman blessed with a beautiful soprano voice she performed at various Christian functions and services. She recorded both music and bible scriptures for the blind.
Her love of theater started as a small child at the Kodak theater where her father worked. She often was pulled on stage by the performers. She became an actress herself while in school and performed as lead in several Shakespearean plays.
A marriage of 68 years started with a wink and a wink back at a community dance in England. She met Bill who was stationed in the Air Force in England at the time, her “boy in blue.”
Kay was committed to her Christian Faith, serving the Lord in everything she did. Her faith shone through as a kindness and willingness to serve others regardless of their need.
Armed with a quick wit and a cup of tea in hand her friends and family were treated to kindness, generosity and a sympathetic ear.
We will miss her.
She is survived by her daughters, Katherine Malyjurek, Lorraine Malyjurek and Joanne Gienger, as well as her grandchildren Seth, Sarah, and Grigori, Landig, and Hannah and Blake Gienger, and great grandchildren Isabella and Elijah Landig.
