Kenneth was born December 5, 1932 in Oxford, Nebraska. He grew up in St Francis, Kansas and graduated from high school in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army from March 1953 to March 1955. Upon returning from Korea, he met his future wife, Barbara Yvonne Meininger of Ft. Lupton, Colorado. They were married August 26, 1956.
Ken used his GI bill to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder. He graduated with an engineering degree in 1960. He soon began a long and successful career at Silver Engineering in Denver spanning 30+ years…working his way up to Chief Estimator.
Ken and Barb bought their first house in 1961 in Westminster, CO and raised their 3 boys. Ken was involved in the community and became a volunteer fireman in the new suburb and helped build the first baseball fields for Shaw Heights Little League. He invested in his sons and coached baseball and basketball, and was a Cub Scout leader.
Ken’s favorite hobby was hunting and fishing. He enjoyed the outdoors for the majority of his adult life, spending quality time in the mountains with his boys and eventually his older granddaughters. His annual hunting/fishing trips would be spent with his good friend Larry.
Ken is survived by his wife, Barbara (86), his 3 sons: Mark William Malone (61) partner Joei, Bradley Alan Malone (59) wife Stelitsa, Philip Lee Malone (57) wife Jan; Grandchildren: Ariana, Jessica, Marlie, Joshua, Shaelyn, Alek and Eras; Great Grandchildren: Tristan, Aubree and Aksel.
