Kevin E Jones

He was born on December 3, 1960 in Nebraska, the son of Betty Estabrook and Joe Jones.

He graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1979, then went on to LeTourneau University, earning a degree in Aviation Repair in 1982.

Kevin married Katherine Mino on September 6, 1986 at St. Pius the 10th Catholic Church in Aurora, CO. They welcomed their first child, Loren, in 1989, and their second, Michelle, in 1991. Throughout their marriage they volunteered both at their church and with various non profit organizations, teaching their children by example the importance of community service.

Kevin was a mechanic by trade, but more accurately could be described as a tinkerer. He enjoyed learning how things worked, be they electronics, engines, baking, or even the laws of physics themselves.

He especially loved reading and instilled a love of fantasy and science fiction in both of his children. When his eyesight began to fail him later in life he discovered audio books, which became a constant soundtrack in his home.

Remaining to cherish Kevin’s memory are his wife, Katherine Jones; children, Loren and Michelle Jones; their partners, Mary Jones and Mads Martin, and siblings Bill Wrenfrow and Judy Maniei, as well as their families.

Preceding him in death are his parents: Joe Jones, and Betty and Bob Wrenfrow, and his siblings: Rebecca Stickley, and David and Marjorie Wrenfrow.

Memorial services will be held September 6, 2024 at 10 am at Clear Creek Church in Wheat Ridge.
