It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimmy Chavez on November 10th, 2025. Born on May 26th, 1968, in Denver, Colorado, to Shirley Chavez and Kenny Lung, she was a beloved daughter, wife, niece, cousin, and friend.
Kimmy grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where she graduated from August Martin High School, surrounded by her loving Aunt Anita and cousins who were like sisters. After moving back to Denver, she brought joy and laughter to her Uncle Danny and Aunt Marie’s home.
Kimmy thrived in the customer service industry, working both at Sabor Latino and The Gilpin, where she met the love of her life, Dave Silverman. Together, they shared a wonderful adventure filled with fishing, beach vacations, cooking, and watching sports.
Later, Kimmy followed her passion by becoming a Certified Surgical Tech in Labor and Delivery, where she cherished her role and made lasting friendships.
This is where she shined, her personality was radiant, her energy was boundless and her spirit was special. If you had the pleasure to meet her, the light she provided would forever be with you.
Residing in Wheat Ridge, close to her family, Kimmy was a beacon of joy. Her heart of gold and her contagious laughter touched everyone around her.
She is survived by her husband Dave, Uncle Danny, Aunt Marie, Aunt Anita, and cousins in Denver, New York, and Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her mother Shirley Chavez, father Kenneth Lung.
May she rest in Peace and God Bless.
We love you, Kim!
