With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kim Marie Medina, who left us peacefully in her sleep on January 7th, after a courageous years-long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family in her final days.
Born on May 13, 1966, in Denver, Colorado, to Linda Bartling and Edward Kincade, Kim lived a life full of love, adventure, and determination. She had an unyielding zest for life and embraced every opportunity to travel, explore, and create lasting memories. Whether it was camping, boating, or spending cherished time with family and friends, she made the most of every moment.
Kim was known for her selflessness—always putting the needs of others before her own. Her caring and nurturing spirit touched the lives of everyone around her, and her ability to give without hesitation was one of the many reasons she was so loved by all who knew her.
Kim was passionate about her work and dedicated many years to the water industry, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients.
She had an infectious personality, always ready with a smile, a laugh, and a kind word for everyone she encountered. Kim’s unwavering love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She loved fiercely, and her bond with those closest to her was unparalleled.
Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruth and Lloyd McCormack, Dorothy and Gail Kincade, and her Aunt, Mavis Gaither.
She is survived by her parents, Linda Bartling and Ed Kincade (Tina Olsen); her beloved spouse, Dan Genrich; her children, Jessica Medina (Eric Juarez), Ashley Medina; her stepchildren, Nicky Genrich, Nate Genrich, and Evan Genrich; her grandchildren, Leo Medina, Dalilah Juarez, Cecilia Keys, and Cecil Keys; her siblings, Ron Kincade (Susan) and Amber Bartling; her nieces, Sierra Bartling and Mariah Bartling; and her Godchildren, Kayli Barbeau, Richard Pacheco, and Frankie Pacheco.
