After a long battle with mental illness, addiction and homelessness Kyle has found peace. He was sweet and clever and kind. He was happiest when making others smile. He was loved deeply and will be missed.
For my brother,
Winters spent flying through frozen air
Gliding over glitter and snow crunching under boots
Red cheeks and missing mittens
We raced each other to the place where sapphire kisses snow
Summers spent hopping over headwaters
Searching for hideouts and screaming into the sunshine
Blue raspberry smiles and pockets full of treasures
We held hands and leapt into water that will never be warm
A forever bond between barefoot children.
I will meet you in that magic place.
