Laurie was incredibly strong, fiercely independent, and endlessly generous. She was always the first to show up, whether it meant pitching in to pack up a household, sewing costumes, beautiful wedding and prom dresses, or stepping up as the enthusiastic, self-proclaimed photographer to capture life’s best moments. Beyond her human family, Laurie was a huge dog lover and a trusted, dog sitter to many lucky pups over the years. Above all, she had a rare gift for bringing people together, creating connection and warmth wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Luella Takamine; her stepfather, Terrie Takamine; her father, Derald Williams; her brothers, Leon Williams and Loren Williams; and her sister, Linda Williams.
Her family was the absolute heart of her life. She is survived by her loving daughter, Anita Rudman, and her husband, Kevin, as well as her cherished granddaughters, Ella and Avery, who brought immense joy and pride to her world.
