Lawrence "Larry" Betz, 84, long time resident of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on March 2, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Larry was born on February 25, 1942, in Denver, Colorado as the only child of the late David Betz and Anne Elizabeth (Heffner) Betz. He was married to Leatta (Peterson) Betz in November 1974 and recently celebrated 51 years together.
Larry served in the US Army active duty with the 7th field hospital from 1964-1966 and active reserve 5502 Fitzsimmons Army Hospital 1966-1968. Larry worked as a corrections officer in the Federal Government of Justice from 1973 until he retired in 1994.
Larry was a long time-time member of the Mile High Magician Society where he served for several years as an officer. He was also a founding member and an officer of the PSI-Clones, a magic and mentalism entertainment group.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Leatta, sons Michael (and his wife Ann) and Donald (and his wife Stephanie), and grandchildren Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Abigail, Madeline, and Thomas.
