It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leon Joe Gonzales, who left us on July 9, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on January 29, 1953, Leon lived quite the life and was multifaceted. He was a lover of the Lord.
He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, quirky one liners, his unwavering optimism, and his willingness to always lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; children Eric and Melissa (Bryce); and grandsons Christopher, Logan and Connor; as well as a wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly. Leon is preceded in death by his son David, whom he joins in the streets of heaven.
A memorial service to celebrate Leon's life will be held at Olinger Crown Hill on July 25, 2025 at 11am. There is an option viewing starting at 10am and a reception following at the American Legion at 1655 Simms St, Lakewood CO 80215 where we will partake in his favorite foods and desserts.
Rest in peace, Leon. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our memories.
