Leta M. Owen

Much loved, Leta, passed away February 18, 2017. She was born June 16, 1927, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado to Willis Ray Babbitt and Elizabeth Marie Babbitt. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Glen, who predeceased her in 2005. She never met a stranger and spread joy, happiness and most importantly her faith to all who knew her. Leta was a wonderful homemaker while her children were young. She later took a role in advertising and public relations with her husband. Leta had beauty inside and out. She was blessed with good health and a positive attitude throughout her life. She leaves all who knew her heartbroken, but we celebrate her joy in being with the Lord and all whom she loved who left this life before her. Leta is survived by her daughters Susan Koonsman (Carl) and Gail Barnes (Bob); her sons Glenn Owen (Ann) and Ron Owen (Sue); her grandsons Travis and Mason Barnes and granddaughter Tracy Owen, her great grandsons Uriah and Troy Barnes and her sister Grace Hicks. A memorial celebration honoring Leta will be held at Lakewood Church of Christ 455 S. Youngfield Ct. on March 31 at 2:00 pm. Lakewood Church of Christ has been designated to receive memorial gifts in Leta's honor.
