Born on September 9, 1956, in Battambang, Cambodia, Lim lived a life defined by resilience, devotion to his family, and quiet strength. In the late 1970s, he and his wife, Sinoun, fled the regime in Cambodia with their daughters Lang and Monya, and sister-in-law, Nang, in search of safety and a better future. Their son, Seyla, was born in a Thai refugee camp in 1981. Two years after arriving in California in 1981, their youngest daughter, Sreylak, was born in San Diego. The family made their permanent home in Denver, Colorado in 1985, where they built a new life together.
Lim worked as a machinist in an industrial factory to provide for his family. Outside of work, he found joy in gadgets and technology, photography, music, movies, and fishing. More than any hobby, however, he treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren. It’s undeniable how much he loved his family. With a camcorder always at the ready, he was devotedly their biggest cheerleader. His kindness, happiness, and quiet presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
He is survived by his beloved partner, Sinoun Tek; his children, Lang Fender, Monya Bin-Enno, Seyla Bin, and Sreylak Bin-Hemingway; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; 4 brothers and 3 sisters, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Nang Chhoeung and Ly Yok Bin, and brother Soeun Yok Bin.

A Reception will follow at 3:00 PM at the Hemingway Residence.
A Buddhist Blessing Ceremony will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Fender Residence. If you plan to attend the Saturday ceremony, please contact Sreylak, Seyla, or Lang.
