Born on June 25, 1946, in Elliott, Colorado, Lois was the heart of every room she entered—warm, welcoming, and full of joy. She had a special gift for making people feel at home, whether they were family, friends, or strangers who quickly became both.
Lois had a deep love for life’s simple joys—decorating for the seasons, planning celebrations, and making holidays extra special. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and just the right amount of sparkle. Her greatest passion was her family, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by those she loved. Whether cheering from the stands, hosting a holiday meal, or enjoying a quiet movie night, she cherished every moment together.
After retiring from a long and dedicated career with Denver Public Schools, Lois stepped into her favorite role yet—being a full-time grandma. Her love and pride in her grandchildren were boundless, and she was their biggest cheerleader in everything they did.
Lois also enjoyed watching sports—especially when she could root for her favorites—and relaxing with her favorite Hallmark movies and mystery shows. She had a way of finding comfort and beauty in the everyday, and she shared that gift with everyone lucky enough to know her.
Lois is survived by her loving children, Kevin Berry (Heidi) and Kelli Dillin (Mark); her treasured grandchildren, Cherokee, Dakota, and Tanner Dillin; her siblings Norman Bresser (Wanda), Peggy Guest (Fred), and Betty Brown; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, DeWayne (Bear) Berry, and her parents, William and Annita Bresser.
Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved and missed. Lois's kindness, laughter, and unwavering love will live on in all the lives she touched.
A celebration of life will be held at Garfield Lake Park – details will be posted soon. If you are unable to attend the family encourages you to do something kind in her memory—decorate for a season, plan a family get-together, or simply make someone feel welcome.
