

Lois Mae Fuester was born in Ida Grove, Iowa on September 29, 1929. She is the daughter of Olga and Herbert Fuester. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Colorado where her brother Don joined the family. The family resided in the Wheat Ridge area and she graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1947. Lois married Richard Mool in February 1954. They had two children, Shirley Mool and Richard Kurt Mool. The family spent a few years in the Denver area before moving to Lakewood where they lived for 55 years before recently moving to Pueblo West. Lois is survived by her husband Richard Mool, Pueblo West, Daughter Shirley Mool, Pueblo West, her sister-in-law Donna Fuester, Arvada as well as several nieces and nephews.
Lois worked in many different industries such as banking, beer, real estate, legal and the oil and gas, and was also a stay-at-home mom.
Lois had several hobbies, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening and was a great cook and baker, but the thing that brought her the most joy was painting. Her paintings were displayed in several business and galleries where she was able to sell several of her paintings. She was named artist of the month several times and won some prizes at shows. She also did a little teaching on the side. She was a member of the Mountainside Art Guild and Lakewood Arts Council.
Lois traveled around the United States to California, Wyoming, Montana, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Nashville, Branson, but she enjoyed the beauty of Colorado the most. She also traveled to Europe.
