Evelyn Loraine Fox, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026. Born on September 17, 1931, in Longmont, Colorado, Loraine was the daughter of Edward and Mollie Peppler. She spent her younger years in Denver, where she graduated from North High School and later resided in Broomfield, Colorado.
Loraine was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mollie, and her brother, Irvin Peppler. Her life was devoted to her family, and she carried these values with her throughout her years while caring for her mother and brother in her home.
Throughout her career, Loraine worked at US West, where she retired after 25 years. Loraine was the proud mother of three children: Gary (Rebecca) Fox, Dennis (Stella) Fox, and Nancy (Karl) Feiler. She took pride in her family, which grew to include seven grandchildren—Debonney, Trey, Cameron (Lauren), Megan (Preston), Scott, Jennifer, and Cory (Miranda)—and two great-grandchildren, Luka and Henry. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Loraine’s grandchildren affectionately called her "granny," and they will remember the warmth and joy of holidays and spending time at her home. Although she wasn't fond of driving, she made countless memories with her grandchildren by taking them places on the bus, creating adventures and stories that will be cherished forever. A loyal fan of the Colorado Rockies, Loraine rarely missed a game, cheering on her team with enthusiasm each season. She had a sweet tooth and especially enjoyed Dove ice cream bars and candy, which were among her favorite simple pleasures.
Loraine’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and compassion. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
