Loretta was born in Denver, Colorado, to her mother Anna, and father, Jake Krantz; 1 of 12 brothers and sisters. Growing up in East Denver she graduated from Annunciation High school, and married Richard Engelhardt.
Loretta was primarily a mother and wife to her family and also worked many years as a Culinary Specialist in a number of schools. An ardent Denver Broncos fan she could often be found cheering on the orange and blue, as well as harassing her family chargers or colts fans. Loretta traveled the US and later the world with her husband and family, visiting destinations such as California, Texas, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, and even Singapore. Her travels, as well as that of others, brought her continued joy through her impressive elephant collection; which brought joy to others as well, as they contributed members to the “herd”. She was often tasked with explaining specific pieces of her collection, of which she knew every story, contributor, and circumstance.
Loretta is survived by her loving husband, 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 5 sisters, 1 brother and many more family and friends across the globe.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, 15 December, 2020 in the Pavilion of Reflection at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave. Wheat Ridge, CO. 80033.
