Mama I miss you so much I know your in a better place no more pain and hurt I talk to you every day . Sometime I pass by Allison care center and I say I need to stop and see my mama but your not there anymore you are in my heart just like Eddie and Andrew . I love you mama your daughter Mary Lou. 

Hi Grandma thank you so much for being my grandma I remember when I would go for lunch I would call you first and you would say who is this is this Mona LOL and another time when I called you didn't remember me but we talked for a long time after you passed I was at work and thinking about you and all the sudden your phone number popped into my mind how did I remember that I don't know 303-298-7286 after all those years I remembered you were saying to me up in heaven you are okay and that you remember now everything as us kids growing up you would play around and say you better behave or I'm going to spank your tuhas lol and one time I took you to King Soopers for grocery shopping and you had the whole buggy full and I had said Grandma you could get this cheaper at Walmart and you left the buggy full of stuff and we left LOL I love you Grandma I will miss you this is from your son Ricky Mom I love you so much thank you for being my mom you are in a better place I remember you would call me early in the mornings to go over and help you do something and I would get up and go help you with the dogs or your truck I would take you something to eat that Tina would make for dinner we love you Mom❤❤❤

My Grandma Loretta is the kind of woman that I aspire to be.  Her life is an example of overcoming adversity and finding real happiness from the love of the those who you surround yourself with.  No matter the struggle or the difficult season she was walking through, she wore a smile and shared her love of life with everyone.  

As a young girl, I would sit in awe at how beautiful she was.  I loved when she would let me and my sister play dress up with her costume jewelry. Grandma would spoil us with all her attention.  We would pull out the nail polish, she would paint our nails, let us wear her fancy shoes and costume jewelry, she would turn on the music and we would dance all around the house.  My Grandma had the moves, her energy was so contagious.  She always made you feel special and enjoyed every second spent together. 

I am so blessed for the part of my Grandma that lives on through my Mom and my Aunt Mary and now through me, my daughter and granddaughter.  While she has left this place her spirit will live on for generations.  I find great comfort in knowing that my Grandma was a believer. That she is at peace in Heaven, smiling down on us.  I think Heaven is one joyous place with her, and that she left to pave the way for us so that one day when we are reunited, we will dance again.

My grandma was so kind and caring. Every time I saw her she would ask me "do you need anything?" And always wanted to give me something lol. 

One time my friend, Elayne, and I went to go visit her. I was about 17 years old. She made us canned soup on the stove and talked to us for a while. She told us a story from a long time ago. She would clean my dad's room (Michael). There was a plant in there that she would water often. One day she found out that plant was a Marijuana plant! She was livid when she found out lol!

It just shows you how kind and caring she was to nurture something she wasn't so sure about, without judgment. I love you grandma and I will always remember your voice, your smile and how every time we talked on the phone you would suddenly say "ok love you bye!" Even when the conversation wasn't over lol.

Grandma, I know you are our guardian angel now, that we are so lucky to have. I know you'll be watching over us and protecting us. I love you!

Here is a message from my dad:

Two memories he has is when it was his birthday in 2009, my grandma bought him 2 pizzas from pizza hut as a present.

The second memory is they were in her back yard with her dogs. He called the dogs punks in a jokingly way. She told him "don't call my dog punks! They have names!" LOL. 

I will always remember my mom cooking for all of us. She was always making tortillas and bunuelos. We all ate all the tortillas as quickly as she made them. We ate the tortillas with butter. She was the best cook. She enjoyed working in her garden. My mom could grow the biggest and juiciest strawberries and big tomatoes. Mom enjoyed being with her dogs, especially Charlie and Charla.

My mom, Loretta Griego was the best mom in this world.  She was only 14 when she had me, and by 19, she had 5 children. She learned to do many things. Her cooking skills became the best, thanks to grandma Sadie teaching her. She taught herself to drive with the help of my mechanic brothers.  She had various jobs from assembly work to housekeeper. Her best job was raising us 5 kids and she did a great job with all of us.  I Love my mom and miss her dearly.  She Loved God and I know shes spreading her wings in heaven right now.  Love You Mama.
