Louise May Rutherford

Wheezie was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on January 24, 1933, to John and Lucille Monnich.

She grew up in Wheat Ridge where she graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1951.

She married George Rutherford in 1952 and they spent 52 years together. After spending time in Hawaii and Florida while George was in the Navy, they settled in Wheat Ridge. George and Wheezie travelled extensively with several of their close friends until George passed in 2003.

Wheezie was active in the Lutheran church her entire life.

Louise worked for the phone company and as a Customer Service Representative at several banks until she happily retired after 12 years.

After she retired, Louise spent a lot of time on her front porch talking to her neighbors and visiting with everyone that passed by. She liked to take the bus to Central City and Black Hawk every Wednesday to play the slots. She also enjoyed traveling with her friends as often as possible.

Louise spent the last years of her life at Morning Star Senior Living where her extended family included the staff and their families.

She was loved by all who spent time with her due to her infectious smile and fun attitude towards life.
