She married John H. Pratt on May 6, 1954 which 4 children were born, John Henry Jr, Jimmy Lee, Jeanene Lynn and Janette Ann. She divorced John on 09/17/1984, then went on to marry Allen E. Harrison on 02/09/1990 and welcomed into her blended family, Doug, Bonnie, Michelle, David and Tracie.
Allen and Mae enjoyed 30 years of family get-togethers, square dancing, traveling and volunteering at the humane society. Dogs were very important to them both and they were very involved with their neighborhood, helping out everyone on their block in many ways- yes, including walking dogs. They were the neighbors I would love to have.
Square dancing was a huge part of their lives; Mom helped recruit several members to join in and she also taught many people how to dance. They danced everywhere they traveled to.
After Allen passed in (??), Mae went on to live in two senior homes where she kept very busy and helped in many ways. Working as the welcoming ambassador, she helped the new residents; she enjoyed playing bingo, doing field trips and attended many outings.
She has 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Mae enjoyed a very good, long and happy life.
Mom, you will be missed dearly by many.
A visitation for Mae will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, the funeral service follows from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM and the committal service will occur from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, at Olinger Crown Hill, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
