Maria passed peacefully in her sleep Sunday morning, November 2nd, which is most fitting since that day is the Feast of All Souls. She will now be able to enjoy all the treasures of heaven with all who will greet her there.
Maria will take with her all her most favorite things like sewing, fishing, picking & eating piñón nuts, taking long car-rides in the mountains (especially during Autumn), McDonald’s French fries, feeding ducks & geese at the lake, Dr. Laura (talk-show), All-Star wrestling, nickel slot machines, ceramics, crafts, crocheting, embroidery, quilting, riding her scooter down to the 16th Street Mall to people-watch while eating a hamburger & fries, listening to Spanish music, watching people dance, and most importantly, taking such great care of all the children in her extended family.
Maria impacted so many lives in her 95 years on this earth; she will be sorely missed by all. Her legacy of crocheted & quilted blankets for not only everyone in her family, but friends and their families as well, will never be forgotten.
