Marie was born on May 2, 1914 to David and Anna (Schneider) Kuxhaus. She graduated from Loveland High School in 1932 and from secretarial school in Denver two years later.
Marie retired from the Colorado Serum company after 36 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at her home in Lakewood where she lived for 62 years. Marie was a wonderful bowler and an excellent cook. Marie was also an avid fan of Colorado sports teams and would have won any trivia contest about the Broncos or Rockies. Marie was an amazing lady.
Marie is survived by her two sons: Bill (wife Patty), and Jack; three grandchildren: Wendy Baughman (husband Jon), Casey Schmidt (wife Dana), and Adam Schmidt; and three great-grandchildren: Jack, Ben and Kate; one sister Helen Shultz of Loveland; sisters-in-law: Edna Kuxhaus of Denver and Ardith Kuxhausen of Loveland; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Alexander Kuxhausen and Victor Kuxhaus, and two sisters Eva Schmidt and Rachel Trupp.
A memorial service will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
She touched many lives and we will always remember her kindness, generosity and strength.
