Born December 31, 1918 in Colby, Kansas and passed away February 17, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. Daughter of Orvile and Maude Newell (both deceased). She lived most of her life in the Denver area, and attended West High School. Marie was kind at heart, and helped for many years at the Santa Maria Camp just outside of Bailey, Colorado. She will be lovingly remembered.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Peter Zambo in 1975, by her second husband, Jake Distel in 1998 and by her daugher Phyllis Parker. She is survived by her son Jerry Zambo, grandchildren Gena Mantz and Scott Parker, great grandson Andy Mantz and by nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 22nd, 2013, 12:00 Noon at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Avenue (at Wadsworth), Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
