She spent part of her childhood in California, where she appeared as an ice-skating extra in the film “2nd Fiddle,” starring Sonja Henie and Tyrone Power.
She attended Kent Denver School and the University of Denver and later worked at Denver Dry Goods and the Whitley Travel Agency.
After finishing school, she traveled overseas on a cruise that took her to Morocco, Athens, and other destinations throughout the Mediterranean.
Marilyn loved old Hollywood films, volunteered at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and enjoyed visiting the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
Known for her gentle spirit, Marilyn devoted herself to caring for her parents later in life.
In her later years, she was welcomed into the home of her dear friends Rodger Fry and David Aragon, where she spent the last 12 ½ years of her life. That circle of care extended to loved ones in Ohio and Illinois, and she also had a special fondness for Cooper Dale and Missy Mae, the family dogs.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Franklin Cramer and Carol Christine (Madisen) Cramer; her grandparents, Fred C. Cramer, Louise E. Cramer, Andrew J. Madisen, and Lena (Hansen) Madisen; and her cousins, Larry Bittner of California and John Frum Jr. of Oregon.
