Marjorie graduated from Baker Rural High School at the age of 15 and went on to pass the State Teacher's Exam, receiving her teacher's certificate, and began teaching at age 16. After teaching in a one room school house for three years she embarked on a new career and moved to Denver, Colorado. There she enrolled in Success Business College and completed secretarial courses.
Marjorie married Edward Dalechek in 1942, and the couple had two sons. Marjorie was a stay at home mom until the boys entered college. At that point, she went to work for the U.S. Geological Survey Photographic Library, where she worked for 25 years until her retirement in 1986.
Following her husband Ed's passing in 1985 she joined the Widowed Men and Women of America social club and enjoyed many new activities, travels and friends. She loved traveling and taking cruises with her sons and friends.
Marjorie is survived by her son David, nephew and niece Richard and Kitty Dalechek and good friend Christy Logan as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward and son Edward Perry Dalechek.
Funeral service will be Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00am in the Olinger Crown Hill Pavilion of Reflection, interment will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:00pm, Staging Area "A."
