Mark Kaiser, 69, of Arvada, CO, passed away on September 30, 2026.
Mark Kaiser was born on May 25, 1957, in LaGrange, Illinois, to Edward and Noreen Kaiser. Mark spent most of his life in Colorado, where he enjoyed fishing and golfing and being with his family. A master electrician by trade, Mark was also a talented motorcycle racer in his younger years, and Mark won several area golf club championships which he humbly accepted.
Before he passed, we asked Mark how many hole-in-one’s he had in his golfing career. In true Mark fashion, he jokingly responded “I don’t know, I stopped counting after 8 of them.”
Mark will be remembered for his gentle heart, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. Mark had a special love for classic movies and could always appreciate a good comedy or an unforgettable film—among his favorites were Caddyshack, It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Young Frankenstein, and The Godfather.
Mark is survived by his mother, Noreen Kaiser, his brothers Edward Kaiser and Kristopher Kaiser (nieces Lauren and Grace), stepchildren Leif Lathrop, Marcus Lathrop (Rebecca) and Stephanie Lathrop, and Abby Anderson whom he welcomed as family, and grandchildren Carter and Ella Lathrop and Levi and Ryker (Tank) Griffith. Mark had a loving life-long sibling relationship with his cousins, Eileen Schurmann, Mark Dusza, Noreen Bell, and Paul Dusza and their spouses, children and grandchildren. Mark was preceded in death by his father Edward Kaiser.
A celebration of life will be held January 2, 2027 at West Woods Golf Club (6655 Quaker St, Arvada, CO 80007 starting at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Colorado Parks & Wildlife foundation.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and medical staff who have taken such good care of Mark over the past few years.
Mark passed peacefully and would want to be remembered for his legacy of kindness and obviously a quote from Star Wars, Emperor Strikes back (the Luke and Yoda scene) to inspire his family and friends moving forward.
Luke: ‘Alright, I’ll give it a try’
Yoda: ‘No, try not. Do or do not, there is no Try.’
