Mary Jo Koch passed away on January 29, 2019 at Bear Creek Nursing home at the age of 85 with her family at her bedside. Mary Jo was born on November 9, 1933 in Farmington, MN to Leonard and Mary Rarick. After graduating from high school she moved to Denver, CO where she met her husband Gordon Koch. They had 4 daughters. After the death of her husband, Mary Jo went on to college, earning her Master’s Degree in elementary education. She retired a Jefferson County school teacher having taught for 20 years. She is survived by 4 siblings and 4 daughters, 13 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
