Mary Jean Woytek

Mary Jean passed away June 25, 2026 at the age of 96 in Westminster, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve J. Woytek and son-in-law Richard Hatcher. She is survived by her children, Steve E. Woytek, (Ruth) Lakewood, Colorado; Michael J. Woytek, (Karen) Westminster, Colorado; Susan D. Hatcher, Denver, Colorado; Thomas A. Woytek, (Jackie) Thornton, Colorado.

Mary Jean was born June 13, 1930 in Denver, Colorado. She attended South Denver High School. She was employed 14 years as a school secretary for Mapleton School District. She then attended

Metropolitan State College for her BA in Elementary Education. She taught 15 years in the Mapleton School District. She volunteered at the Colorado History Museum for 25 years. Mary Jean enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe. She loved being with her family,especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching baseball while making over 11,000 rosaries for

various Missions.
