Blaine is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Riley; his son, Merlin B. Riley III; his daughter, Erin Riley; his stepson, David (Deepa) O'Ragon; his stepson, Christopher Sawyer; one grandson, Merlin B. Riley IV; one granddaughter, Alexis Riley; his in-laws, Ulka (Prakash) Nene; and his former wife, Lynn Hart Riley.
Blaine is preceded in death by his father, Merlin B. Riley, Sr.; his mother, Charlotte Barton Riley; and his step-mother, Edna Riley.
