

Michael was born on May 21 1949, in Denver Colorado to proud parents Kenneth Bylsma and Dorothy Powell. He was an adventurous man and grew up loving all sports. His favorites were football, water and snow skiing, hunting, and riding horses. Michael also adored motorcycles. He would spend hours on the back of his bike traveling from place to place just enjoying the scenery.
Michael graduated from Jefferson High School in 1967 and went on to become a teacher. He loved to teach, whether it was horseback riding at Westernairs in Golden, Colorado; or welding at the various prisons he worked throughout his life. He loved the music of Shania Twain and western movies, especially those starring John Wayne. He loved classic cars and would often be found in his garage under the hood of his newest project. He built several cars throughout his life and loved going to car shows.
Michael Ray Bylsma is survived by his wife of 53 years, Roberta Sue (Waychoff) Bylsma. His daughter; Sheri Chaney (James Chaney), and his son; Shane Bylsma. His Grandchildren, Brittani Bylsma (Eric Weber), Mickey Bylsma, Tiffanie McClain, and Rayna Holmen. As well as his great-grandchildren Silas and Tanner Weber, Ivah Bylsma, and Shilo McClain, nieces, nephews and Aunts.
He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Bylsma, Dorothy Powell, and his grandparents.
