

Micki was born January 23, 1931, to Gustav and Anna (Habben) Bebensee of Wilcox, Nebraska. She had two older brothers and one older sister, Bertus, Ralph and Lucille, and is survived by her identical twin sister Marjorie and one younger sister Anna Lee. Micki was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church she also graduated from Hildreth High School. In 1951 Micki moved to Shreveport, Louisiana with her sister Lee, and began her career working as a telephone operator for Southern Bell until 1955 when she married Wendy.
On September 25, 1955, she married Wendell “Wendy” George Lynch of Macon, Nebraska. (Wendy recently passed away on August 21, 2019) Shortly after they were married, they moved to Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and started a family; Michael George (1956), Brian Wayne (1959) and Robyn Scott (1962).
Micki started her career with American Telephone and Telegraph (AT&T) over 33 years where she held multiple management positions until she retired on December 30, 1989. Micki was also the Chapter President for Colorado & Wyoming Telephone Pioneers in 1986, Served on the Board of Directors of Telecommunications Historical Society, “1986 - Woman of the Year - US West”, “1988 - Woman of the Year – AT&T” Micki was very active at Holy Cross Lutheran Church as where she taught Sunday School and a member of ECLA Amicta Circle. Micki was Cub Scout Leader and was involved in the PTA and Red Hat Society.
Micki will be remembered for her overwhelming ability to show love and kindness to anyone she met! She loved her husband (soulmate) of almost 64 years with unconditional love, gentleness, and awe-inspiring regard for Wendy!
Survivors include her three sons and their wives, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Michael/Ellen; Collin, Bryden and M.E., Brian/Sherry; Chris/Brittany - 7-month-old Lilah and Emily and Robyn/Susan; Austin/Jessica, Halle, and Lauren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 5, 2019, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church from Noon to 4:00 pm in Wheat Ridge, CO. Viewing will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 3 to 5 pm.
