Born and raised in Colorado, Moe grew up around Alamosa and later attended West High School. It was during his high school years that he met the love of his life, Ruth better known as "Butchie". The high school sweethearts married and shared over 50 beautiful years together before her passing.
A plumber by trade, Moe was known for being sweet yet hardworking, and stern when it came to doing a job right. Beyond his work ethic, he was a true jokester, famous for his quick-witted, one-liner zingers. Social and exceptionally friendly, Moe knew no strangers and easily connected with people from all walks of life, making friends everywhere he went, including the wonderful staff at Visiting Angels.
Moe's absolute favorite pastime was being outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and hunting for deer and dove and would often spend this time with his grandson, Dawson. Above all else, family was the center of his world. He cherished traveling alongside his siblings and looked forward to large family gatherings and festive outings.
Moe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth "Butchie" Dix; his parents Martha and Morris Dix and his sister, Sandy Fisher.
He is survived by his loving children, Dave (Diana) Dix and Marty Dix; his cherished grandson, Dawson Dix; his sister, Linda Traynor; and his brothers, Marv Dix and Ken Dix. He will be deeply missed by a large extended family and countless friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and humor.
