

Myrna was born in Durango, Colorado in 1940. She was lovingly adopted by Roy and Gertrude Delfosse and raised in Lakewood Colorado. She was proceeded in death by both adopted parents and her adopted Sister Darlene Collins (Delfosse). Gertrude passed away in 1962, and her adopted father Roy remarried Edith Delfosse in 1963.
Myrna graduated from Lakewood High School in 1959, where she was part of the band as a baton twirler. After graduation, she met the love of her life John W Wright Jr on roller skates at Roller City. Myrna remembers turning John down 5 times before finally agreeing to go out with him. Months later they were engaged on roller skates at that same Roller City.
Myrna and John were married on September 9th, 1960. They spent the last 47 years of their married life in Arvada Colorado in the same house. They were married for 65 years before John passed in May 2026.
In the 1980's, Myrna did have a desire to locate her biological parents. With the help of her Step-Mother Edith, they ventured to Durango where she was born. During their visit they were able to locate the doctor that actually delivered her in 1940, and the doctor also knew the family of her biological mother. From there she was able to find her biological Mother and biological Father who was deceased. She later found so many half Brothers and Sisters. It was a dream come true.
Myrna held multiple jobs throughout her career. While raising her three children, she worked from home doing drapery hemming. Later she would be a bookkeeper for Ray Jones Appliance Parts for over 20 years. She later worked as a bookkeeper at Deline Box Co. But one of her favorite jobs was being a greeter, at the Merchandise Mart in Denver. There she was be known as a Red Coat lady. She continued working at the Merchandise Mart into her 70s. Myrna's biggest passion was being a dancer. She danced from a young age until just before she married. After retirement, she found a senior dance group. She danced with many other ladies for several years, dancing at Senior Living homes and other venues. Myrna was also a devout Christian and loved her Lord Jesus Christ. She attended Agape Life Church for many years. Assisting with the Food Bank and other activities before she no longer could attend.
Family: Myrna was proceeded in death by her husband John W Wright. Children: Debbie (Paul) Beacom, Rick (Barb) Wright, and Cindy (Randy) Ferguson.
Grandchildren: Nick (Amy) Medina, Ashley (Kyle) Ellrich, Brittany Medina, Jordan Wright and Dani (Augdon) Greening
Great Grandchildren: Luke and Collins Medina, Grant, Carson, and Logan Ellrich, Weston and Stetson Greening.
There are multiple siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins, and in-laws
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 23rd from 4 - 7. Services will be held Friday, July 24th at 10am, with burial at 11am. Both Visitation and the Services will be held at Olinger Crown Hill.
