Myron Weslie Loon, a beloved father, grandfather, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at the age of 91, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 18,1935, Myron dedicated a chapter of his young life to serving his country in the United States Air Force, establishing lifelong friendships and a deep sense of honor. On December 17, 1955, he wed the love of his life, Dorla Irene Mahoney. Together, they shared 68 beautiful years of marriage, building a large, vibrant family and exploring all 50 states together- 48 of them by RV-before her passing in February 2024.
Myron was a devoted and steady presence in the lives of his family. He is survived by his daughters, Denise and Tanya; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorla Loon; his son Gary Loon; his granddaughter, Vanessa Edwards; his grandson, Justin Loon; his parents; and numerous brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary (7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033) on November 18, 2026, at 11:30am. A Committal Service will follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery (3698 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80236) at 1:00pm.
