I first met Nadine on my 7th birthday, when she gifted me with a box of comic books.  She and my parents became fast friends and that relationship lasted until my parents passed away.  Nadine always said she was a second mother to me and my younger sister Glenda.  She was an important part of my life.  In my heart she remains the "second mother" and I choose to remember her as she was with her girl next door looks, her constant smile and sense of fun.  I take comfort that my mom and dad have met her again.
