

Born Naomi May McCarthy on May 12, 1919, in Pueblo, CO.
She went to Parkview Elementary School to the 3rd grade then moved to west of City Park on Goodnight Ave. by 1928. She attended Charlie Elementary, Central Jr. High and Central High School. Graduated 1937 and married her high school sweetheart George W. Otto the day after graduation.
George W. Otto was Linda Graham’s uncle and brother to Linda’s mother Doris M. Smith.
In 1938 a daughter, Judith was born. In 1943 the couple divorced but was reunited in 1950 and had 2 more daughters, Georgiann Crickett and Louann Gaines.
During WWII Naomi worked at Pueblo Tent and Awning Company sewing parachutes for the war effort. After the war she worked for Pueblo Telephone Co. the transferred to the Colorado Springs Telephone Co. In 1945 Naomi moved to Denver worked as a receptionist for Silver Engineering Co. and Van Hummel Insurance Co. as a typist and there she learned to key punch.
As a keypunch operator she worked at National Jewish Hospital then finally for the State Health Department in 1955. She retired for the State Health Department in 1979.
On May 13, 1979 Naomi married George A. Graham. They continued a very busy and productive life at 1200 W Kentucky Ave in Denver and summered at their cabin near Fairplay. Naomi’s ashes will be spread at the beloved cabin with a family memorial following in the spring.
