June 1956 – June 30, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nirmala “Nim” Williamson, at the age of 70, whose life was marked by love, kindness and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Born in Malaysia, Nim carried with her the traditions and values of her homeland throughout her life. She later made the United States her home, where she built a life in Colorado filled with cherished memories. Her generous heart, infectious smile and quiet strength touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Nim was preceded in death by her beloved parents Krishna and Tilimah and by her husband, Donald Williamson.
She leaves behind her daughter, Jennifer Williamson (Francisco David Riera) and granddaughter Mariella Williamson Riera. She also leaves behind her beloved brothers, Asok Kumar (Lai Lee) and Chandrasekar, and her dear sister, Vasantha (Anthony Singarayar). Nim was a loving aunt to many cherished nieces and nephews, Shan Kumar, Emylee Kumar, Michael Singarayar, Virginia Singarayar (Roman Stubbs), and Matthew Singarayar, and a proud and devoted grandaunt to Jaden Sky Raman and Mia Aurora Raman. She loved each of them dearly and delighted in watching her family grow through the generations. Nim will also be remembered by her many cousins and relatives in the Williamson and Vengadasalam families.
In addition to her family, Nim leaves behind many treasured friends. She built countless friendships over the years in her time working at Sky West Airlines. Nim also loved to travel, she kept in touch and visited her pen pal of 54 years, Linda Brookes from England. Our memories of Nim will always include a Coca-Cola in hand while enjoying various foods in the company of her friends and family.
Nim will be deeply missed, and though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Nim is at peace and reunited with those she loved who went before her.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
In lieu of a memorial service, the family will have a private Hindu ceremony and blessing at the time of cremation, per Nim’s wishes. Instead of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to your charity of choice. Nim also wanted everyone to buy and enjoy a Big Gulp Coca-Cola (with lots of ice) in her memory.
