Norma Sue Shackelford

Norma Sue Shackelford was born April 21st, 1954, in Alliance, NE. She was born the fourth child of five to Ellen and Will Shackelford. She left this earth on June 18, 2023 in her home in Lakewood, Colorado.

Norma graduated from Lakewood High School in 1972. She worked for Rockwell International (Rocky Flats) in the 80's until she was injured and could not continue her employment there any longer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Violet and unnamed brother.

She loved to laugh, shop and play cards with family and friends. She has visited many of the National Parks in the western United States and vacationed in Canada, the Virgin Islands and many other fun places with family and friends. She spent many summers having fun at Round Lake, Sutherland Reservoir and made it to the Garwood Family Reunion as often as she could. However, we know that the place she loved the most was in the Sandhills of Nebraska.

She is survived by her Great Aunt Mable, her mother’s sister Aunt Maryann, her brothers John and Ernest and their wives, her son Travis and his wife Lisa of Colorado and her son Lance and his wife Heather of Florida, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
