Norm was born in Quincy, Illinois and passed away in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Estella Bickhaus; three brothers, Ernest Jr., Kenneth, and Donald Bickhaus. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna, his brother Robert M. Bickhaus, children, Brian Bickhaus, Roberta Bickhaus and Ronald Bickhaus; stepchildren, Victor LeClaire and Gregory LeClaire; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In high school Norm played Basketball and Football and enjoyed music. He served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. Following his time in the navy, Norm went to Quincy College and then DePaul University, Chicago, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Science in Commerce in 1959.
He spent his work career in sales with the US Gypsum Company of Chicago and spent his free time renovating and building the homes he and his family lived in.
