Orianne Rae Weir, affectionately known as “Ori” or “Orneryanne,” entered into rest on September 20,2026, in Golden, Colorado, at the age of 59. She was born in Casper, Wyoming, on August 14, 1967, the fourth daughter of Gaylord Heber Hanson and Virgie Gladys Sisson. Ori grew up and spent most of her life in Colorado. After completing her education, she pursued her passion for beauty and earned her cosmetology license.
During her first marriage, Ori raised two beautiful children, Kelsey Rae and Bryson Daniel. Later in life, Ori was blessed to reconnect with her childhood love, Adam Weir. Their story came full circle, and they happily married on August 29, 2009. Together, they shared 17 years filled with love, laughter, memories, and adventure. Through her marriage to Adam, Ori was also blessed with two wonderful stepchildren, Zachary Adam and Katelynn May, whom she loved and cherished as part of her family.
Ori was incredibly gifted musically. She began playing the piano by ear at just three years old and later became a talented guitarist. She also had the most amazing voice, one that was beautiful, expressive, and unforgettable. Music was a natural part of who she was and a reflection of her creative and spirited personality.
Ori lived a remarkable life of service and gave generously to her community. She had a compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a hand, especially to those who were less fortunate. Throughout her life, she donated food, supplies, and her time to people in need. She also served as a victim advocate with the local sheriff’s office, offering comfort and support to people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Ori devoted several years to working as a caregiver. Her genuine love for people extended far beyond the time she officially cared for them, and she maintained meaningful friendships with many of her former clients.
Drawn to the water from a very young age, Ori competed on both the swim and dive teams. She carried that competitive spirit with her throughout the years. Even in a simple game of backgammon or cribbage, she loved a good challenge and was always ready to win!
Ori had a deep love for the ocean and was a passionate advocate for its conservation. She volunteered her time to support preservation and cleanup efforts cared about protecting marine life and the health of the planet as a whole. Ori had an enormous love for animals. She was the proud owner of two horses, adored her fur babies, and kept a large aquarium in her home to bring a piece of the underwater world into her everyday life.
She had an unstoppable, adventurous spirit. Ori shared countless outdoor adventures with Adam, including boating, camping, fishing, waterskiing, hiking, white-water rafting, parasailing, and skydiving. Most importantly, she was Adam’s dedicated “dive buddy.” Together, they traveled to some of the most renowned and beautiful dive sites in the world, finding incredible wonder and joy beneath the waves.
Ori’s love for her family was unparalleled. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. She treasured the simple moments that brought everyone together, like hosting holidays, gathering for game nights, or snuggling up in bed, doing “tickles,” and watching a movie.
She is survived by her loving husband, Adam McKay Weir; her children, Kelsey Rae Hanson and Bryson Daniel Fisher; her stepchildren, Zachary Adam Weir and Katelynn May (Tyler) Silvia; and five adoring grandchildren, Joshua, Aleya, David, Robbie, and Marshall, with another precious grandchild on the way.
