Paul A. Aragon was born on December 5, 1938 in Denver, Co., to Paul Aragon and Rose Duran. He met the love of his life, Mary Aragon, in 1960 at a dance. They fell in love and married on October 7, 1961 in Denver, CO. They had two children Debra Smart and Anthony Aragon. He worked with the City and County of Denver for 35 years and retired in1997. His passions were his family, volunteering at his church, where he served as hospitality director, food bank director, church elder, and the one and only church sheriff, and most of all fishing. Anyone who knew him knew what fishing meant to him. Whatever fish he caught he would can, fry, filet, or come up with secret recipes for his fish to share with others. He loved spending time with his fishing buddies and always had a smile on his face whenever he had a fishing pole in his hand.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Aragon, his two children Debra (Ron) Smart, and Anthony Aragon (David Westman), his two grandchildren Mark Smart and Sarah Chagoya Sanchez, and his two great granddaughters Aliyah and Hailey, his pride and joy. He is also survived by two brothers, four sisters, four sister in laws, five brother in laws, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Paul (Tony) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday June 20th, 2019 at 4:30 pm surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members and friends. He will forever be missed by all who knew him.
