Paula was a homemaker and a single Mom. She had a few jobs throughout her working years but her all-time favorite was working from home for herself as a proofreader for court reporters. Paula also enjoyed letting silly doctors who attempted to talk down to her know that she had worked for heart surgeons and knew more lingo than they assumed she did.
Paula was raised Episcopalian but was non-affiliated as an adult. She considered herself to be a spiritual being but did not agree with organized religion.
Paula loved researching her family lineage and ancestry and had subscriptions and memberships to all the research websites she could belong to.
Aside from raising two wonderful kids, Paula was a loyal friend. She had a deep interest in people and the human condition, she especially loved learning about other cultures and was a great listener without being judgmental and more times than not gave some pretty solid advice. Paula was an outstanding cook who always seemed to infuse her dishes with her genuine love and caring. She was a magnanimous hostess of many parties and functions and had her unique way of making everyone feel welcome and wanted, but especially the ones who sat on the periphery of the party. Being a proofreader, Paula was an avid reader and could more times than not be found curled up in her favorite chair with her nose in a good book.
In Paula’s household, she is survived by her daughter Laura L. Politzki, son-in-law Daniel De La Cruz, dog grandson Misha Politzki as well as cat grandkids Rory and Chelsea. All residing in Westminster, CO. She is also survived by her older sister, Victoria E. Hill and niece Kathryn A. Hill, of Arizona. Paula is also survived by her little sister, Christine L. Politzki, nephew Nicholaus Z. Politzki, grandnephew Elliott C. Politzki, and grandnieces Harriet C. Politzki and Juniper C. Politzki, all of Weaverville, NC.
Paula is predeceased by her husband, Peter J. Politzki, who passed away in 1972, and her son Christopher J. Politzki who passed away 2020. She is also predeceased by many beloved animal babies that have graced our lives throughout the years.
