She graduated from Reagan High School in Austin, Texas.
She worked as a clerk for the State of Texas, then later in sales for various lumber companies, then later in accounting for CED where she stayed for 20 years.
She was actively involved in intensive garage selling where she would make friends every weekend including her best friend Susie Sanders. She loved sharing her finds with family and friends.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Aubrey Pogue, and mother, Nannie Pogue.
Peggy is survived by her husband Lee Roy Gilbreath, two daughters, Shannon Curry and Kristi Barclay, four grandchildren, Cameron Thibault, Samantha Curry, Dalton, and Landon Barclay, and a great-granddaughter, Raelianna Barclay. As well as her sister Martha Champlain and brother James Pogue.
She will be missed by all those who were blessed to be a part of her life.
The family would like to thank her best friend, Susie Sanders for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days.
A Graveside Service will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, US, on October 12, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
