Phillip Ernest Anselmo February 4,1956-December 14, 2012 December 14th our beloved son, brother and friend Phillip died doing what he loved. In La Libertad, El Salvador, a surfing haven nestled in the beauty of the Pacific Ocean, his life was taken in a surfing accident. Phillip loved traveling, exploring and people. He was passionate about traveling and there was not a continent he had not explored. His travels and compassion allowed him to easily make friends in the countries throughout the world. Phillip loved life and drank deeply from each adventure, learning the local history, customs and touching lives. An accomplished attorney, he practiced law and real estate in Seattle, San Francisco, and the Western Slope of Colorado. During and after college at the University of Colorado, Phillip pursued his education in England and Beijing, China. A love of learning, combined with his travels, allowed Phillip to learn the languages of the world, and as one close friend commented, "His knowledge of languages was a mile wide and an inch deep." Phillip is survived by his son Trevor Hansen, his parents Patricia Anselmo and Ernest Anselmo and their spouses Dennis Yakobson and Marcie Anselmo, siblings Christyne Ziegler (Von), Mark Anselmo(Stephanie Kohler), Lisa Anselmo, Todd Anselmo and Elizabeth Anselmo, and numerous nieces and nephews. We will miss you Phillip and hope your great adventures continue even now. Services will be held Friday December 28 at 11am Christ Covenant Community Church 8151 Simms St., Arvada, Colorado 80005
