Phyllis Jean Cotten (Kochinas) passed away on July 25th, 2020. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Tony and Mary Kochinas and Clyde, her husband of 57 years. She is survived by her goddaughter, Ronda Fritzler and numerous nieces and nephews. For 45 years, Phyllis enjoyed a career with the Denver Office of the Institute of International Education, where she administered Fulbright (and numerous other) scholarships to thousands of students from around the world. She was very well known around the region for her work at IIE and was a mastermind when it came to the budget.
In retirement, she enjoyed the Central City Opera and The Arvada Center. She also took great pleasure in her volunteer work at Lutheran Medical Center and made many wonderful friends taking Pilates classes.
Funeral services are pending and in lieu of flowers, it was her wish that contributions be made to National Jewish Health, 1400 Jackson St, Denver, Colorado 80206.
