

He is survived by brother Charles (Verna) Franke of Spearfish SD; long- time friend Cheryl Jeranson of Hoven, SD, three children and many grandchildren, cousins, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Quintus Sr. & Pauline ( Sejnoha) Franke, sisters Laverne Estes, Ester Zimmerman, and Phyllis Dykes and brother Duane Franke.
Quintus graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1953. He was selected all-state football player, and was offered a college scholarship. He was West River Golden Gloves heavyweight boxing champion of South Dakota. He also served 4 years in the National Guard. Growing up in Belle Fourche, SD, he worked at the Belle Creamery, and the Sugar Beet Factory during the campaign. He moved to Denver Colo., worked at Eversman as a machine operator for 30 years. The last 10 years before retirement he worked for Keebler.
Quintus lived in Denver for almost 70 years. His hobbies were golf, and was an avid Broncos fan. He enjoyed going up into the mountains to gamble in Blackhawk.
He donated to many charities like Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US, American Heart Association, The Nature Conservancy, Arbor Day Foundation to name a few. He was a big, strong man, which his family loved very much. He will be greatly missed.
