Lorraine was born in Miller, SD; graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University with a degree in Education; taught elementary school in Chamberlain, Redfield, Lake City, Brookings, SD and Gallup, New Mexico. She had a love of teaching fourth grade.
Lorraine married Donald E. Clark in 1952. They resided in Roy Lake, Brookings, Farm Island, and Aberdeen, SD. Later moving to Gallup, NM.
After a successful and rewarding career in teaching she settled with her family in Golden, CO in 1972.
Lorraine continued her career with Kaiser Permanente Healthcare as a medical records specialist, retiring in 1994.
Lorraine was a devoted member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood, CO. She was active in Mary Martha, Stephens Ministries, Bible Studies, Prime Timers and the District Older Adult Ministries.
Lorraine’s kind and loving nature was shown through her volunteer work with McKinley General Hospital and Lutheran Medical Center. She was an avid reader, historian and devoted many hours compiling her family’s history.
