Ray was my dad’s (Scott) brother. We live in Tennessee and one of the highlights of our summer would be when Ray and Lina would come “home” for a week! We would sit on our front porch and watch for them to go by! Once they did, it wouldn’t be long before we would head to Nannie and Granddaddy’s to see them! We knew there would be lots of good meals that week and on Saturday night the entire Byrd clan would get together for a reunion! Even though it’s been several years since any of us have seen him, I can still remember his smile and how much we enjoyed that yearly visit! Our thoughts and prayers are with Lina, Mike, and Diana. My dad is now the last surviving child of Nannie and Granddaddy!
