Preceded in death by his wife, Margie, survived by his companion, Anita Jones, and three children, Ron (Jean) Vanous, Carol (Dale) Bartkus, Susan (Don) Marks, grandchildren, Tony and Nick Bartkus, Andy and Chris Vanous, and Lisa Eadens, plus five great-grandchildren, and sister, Pat (Jerry) Benson. Ray was raised in Denver and served in the Navy from 1941-1944. He attended the University of Colorado and graduated with a degree in engineering. He retired from Public Service Company after fourty-five years as vicepresident of Commercial and Industrial Sales. During his working years, he was a member of several professional engineering groups.
Funeral service will be 3:00pm, Monday, May 13, at Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace, 7777 W. 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO, with reception to follow. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to Wind Crest Scholars Fund, 3235 Mill Vista Road, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129.
