Richard M. Coffman

Richard was born on December 10, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Maurice John and Rachel Marie (Beasley) Coffman. He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Mikesell), and brother, Jerry Coffman.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Kathy Zuehlsdorff (Gary), Michelle Coffman (Fabian Okonski), Glenda Coffman and their mother, Joan Coffman. He is also survived by grandson, Ben (Shelly) and granddaughter, Sarah (Rowan), as well as by many nephews and nieces.

Richard graduated from Shelbyville High School, Shelbyville, IN in 1952. He served in the Army during the Korean War as a helicopter maintenance instructor stationed in VA. He later worked as a commercial airline mechanic for Lake Central Airlines in Indianapolis and Frontier Airlines in Denver.

He enjoyed camping with his family in the Colorado Rockies, country music, playing the steel pedal guitar, gardening, and leather working. He had a large workshop and spent many hours woodworking, creating beautiful furniture and home decor for his family.

A private celebration of life was held by the family on July 10, 2020.
