

to Donald Roberts and Shirley McGinty Roberts.
When Richard was young, Shirley married Merle Travis, who was a father to him.
The family moved to Aurora, where Richard graduated from Hinkley High School.
He then worked at a dairy farm in Aurora.
When he was 18, he went to Vietnam in the Air National Guard. He worked on aircraft, maintaining, restocking, and repairing planes. He received an Honorable Discharge for his service.
He married and had three children born to him: Thea, Karen, and Jonathan.
Later he divorced and married again to have Daniel.
Richard worked for Colorado Public Service, (Excel Energy) for thirty-seven years, making lasting relationships. He was a First Responder in the Gas Department in Metro Denver.
In 2000, he married Milly Draper.
There were nine grandchildren at their wedding with the combined families.
Now there are twenty grandchildren!
Richard served as an elder and also a deacon at Park Hill Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
In 2024, Richard became an elder at KCBC (Kittredge Community Bible Church.
He also taught Sunday School.
When the pastor moved on, he preached at KCBC from May, 2024 to February, 2025.
He was faithful to the Word of God and loved by all who came there.
We will all miss him terribly.
